{"id":438,"date":"2013-07-21T17:13:37","date_gmt":"2013-07-21T16:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aoibheanndoyle.com\/?p=438"},"modified":"2022-01-13T12:54:30","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T12:54:30","slug":"our-garden-ghost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aoibheanndoyle.com\/vibration-blog\/our-garden-ghost","title":{"rendered":"Our Garden Ghost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fruits of Love are lush, sweet, tender, plump.<br \/>\nRipe, Ready with rainbow flesh<br \/>\nRomance lacing the air&#8230;<br \/>\nThe fruits are filled with juice, the midnight trees a muse<br \/>\nThe Summer breeze a fuse,<\/p>\n<p>All is possible now<br \/>\nThe homestead still in bloom<br \/>\nAs final Surrender fills the rooms&#8230;<br \/>\nOf pure potential&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My mother digs the earth and waters orange lillies,<br \/>\nYellow Lemon snap-dragons, purple sweet pea<br \/>\nand pale english rose<br \/>\nMy father&#8217;s presence observing her work,<br \/>\nAdmiring the wild array and abundant colour.<br \/>\nHis echoes in the rooms upstairs&#8230;<br \/>\nMy Father&#8217;s voice saying: &#8220;What a smashing day!&#8221;<br \/>\nGorging pineapple, strawberries, blueberries,<br \/>\nand grapefruit.<br \/>\nPlaying football with my beloved brothers in the park&#8230;<br \/>\nDiscussing the journey and the pathways,<br \/>\nSinging old songs with older meanings &#8211;<br \/>\nMeaning Love, Kindness and Kin.<br \/>\nCracking jokes and doing family impressions.<br \/>\nAunty Patricia for tea and eating cakes in the sunshine.<\/p>\n<p>My father&#8217;s ghost digging the fecund soil<br \/>\nand planting fresh seeds&#8230;<br \/>\nEvening heat and birdsong at dawn<br \/>\nChanging beliefs and always a return<br \/>\nTo The One.<\/p>\n<p>The fruits of Summer are love of life.<br \/>\nsunshine smiles and brazen heart.<br \/>\nbright opening chats and late night talks<br \/>\nSleepy Sundays and raw cliff walks&#8230;<br \/>\nThe new earth gives birth to dreams<br \/>\nAs old as eons, as we believe&#8230;<br \/>\nAll is possible through Summer eyes.<\/p>\n<p><em>Aoibheann Doyle<br \/>\nTo my Family, July 2013<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fruits of Love are lush, sweet, tender, plump.
